Eight Gods is a quick 2-6 player card game played in taverns and homes throughout the Wandering Sea (i.e. the Sleeping Gods world). Rules are also included for a solitaire game commonly played in the Wandering Sea.
In more detail, Eight Gods can be played by 2 - 6 players in about 20 minutes. Each round, players are dealt a 6 card hand. Then, they give two cards away, play their hand, and score their hand. Scoring also happens in the gift and play phases, so there are many opportunities to score points and various strategies are viable. The game has a variable ending, once enough Gods are asleep. It is a morphed form of cribbage that very loosely tells the story of putting the Gods to sleep.
